LET’S DECK THE HALLS: the Festive edit

It’s officially holiday season and we are here for it!! Who doesn’t spend hours searching Pinterest, magazines, and the internet for home inspiration as they prep to enjoy the holidays with their loved ones?!

Growing up, my family never decorated before Thanksgiving and I’ve (Lily) held onto that tradition in my marriage. But as a designer, I’m not going to lie.. it’s getting SO TOUGH year after year to hold out until then. I decided this was my year to go out on a limb and embrace Christmas a little sooner than usual and I am kind of LOVING it so far. I feel like a new person. (Anyone else an early Christmas decorating kind of person?!)

With that said.. it’s time to buckle up! We want to shower you with some of our favorite holiday looks for your stairwells, living rooms, kitchens and even a few pops that you can add to your exterior. Of course, we will be linking a few of our favorite products so you can take the inspiration to life!! Let’s dive in.

Ribbon on garland

Deck everywhere out with ribbon.

I don’t know where ribbons have been all my life; but, they have definitely been one of my favorite ways to add a rich texture, especially the velvet ones, to your tree, garland and wreaths. I started styling with them last year and I was officially hooked.

HOLIDAY KITCHEN & DINING

Creating a truly festive ambiance in your home during the holidays requires consistency and attention to detail. One area often overlooked in holiday decor is the kitchen; but with a little creativity, it can become a spirited haven too! Enhance your kitchen by adorning hoods, shelves, and window sills with festive greenery, bringing the holiday cheer into every corner. Extend the festive vibes into your dining area by focusing on the table setup. A captivating centerpiece not only anchors the room but also adds depth and vitality to your holiday decor. Introduce elements like lush greenery, flickering candles, textured plates, and elegant cloth napkins to elevate the dining space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for memorable holiday gatherings. Remember, it's the thoughtful touches in every area that truly make your home feel enchantingly decked out for the season!

Another great way to add layers, color and texture to your home during the holidays are candles and candle holders!!

These are a great add to your table or hearth even before Thanksgiving which is a win in my book! We love a good cream candle but textured or even warm colored candles are a simple addition to any space. Let’s not forget about the candle holders either; If you’re going for an eclectic look, mixing materials and different shapes is a great start. If you love a classic look, you can’t go wrong with a gold or black cast iron finish. Traditional? There are incredible glass candle holders or vases on the market! Find a few of our favorites linked below.

We are loving the introduction to the ribbon on trees now as well as lots of gold mixed in with silver and frosted bulbs! If you are a lover of color, we have a few gorgeous inspiration images to bring tasteful color into your home around the holidays. HOLIDAY FRONT PORCH

Make it stand out. Transforming the exterior of your home into a festive wonderland is a delightful way to spread holiday cheer and create a warm welcome for guests. To achieve a truly "deck the halls" look, start by outlining your roofline, windows, and doors with twinkling lights (we’re big fans of the classic white twinkles). Add adorned, oversized natural wreaths to your front door and windows, instantly infusing a touch of charm. To add a personal touch, consider crafting your own outdoor wreaths by going to a “make your own wreath” party in your local community! By incorporating these tips, you can create a dazzling and inviting holiday display that captures the essence of the season.
